The Lent Township Board will be meeting with the Stacy City Council to discuss the annexation of the township into the City of Stacy on Monday, June 13, 2022, at 7:00p.m. The meeting will be held at Stacy City Hall, 30955 Forest Boulevard, Stacy MN 55079. A quorum of the Lent Township Board is likely to be present.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, 7:00 p.m. via Zoom and at the Lent Town Hall at 33155 Hemingway Avenue, Stacy, MN 55079, the Lent Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to solicit public response to a proposed ordinance regarding definitions for bluffs, buildable area and dimensional standards in Chapter 2 of the Zoning Regulations. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation regarding the proposed ordinance to the Town Board for their meeting to be held on May 17, 2022, 7:00 p.m. via Zoom and at the Lent Town Hall.

Notice of Board of Appeal BOAE 2022

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of Appeal and Equalization for the Township of Lent, CHISAGO County, Minnesota, will meet at the Office of the Clerk in said Township at 33155 Hemingway Ave., Stacy, MN 55079 At 6:00 (6 o’clock) P. M., on Thursday the 28th day of April 2022 for the purpose of reviewing and correcting the assessment of said Township of Lent for the year 2022.

​The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether taxable property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor, and to determine whether corrections need to be made.

All persons considering themselves aggrieved by said assessment, or who wish to complain that the property of another is assessed too low, are hereby notified to appear at said meeting, and show cause of having such assessment corrected. No complaint that another person is assessed too low will be acted upon until the person so assessed or their agent, shall have been notified of such complaint.

If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor’s office to discuss your concerns. If you are still not satisfied with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board shall review the valuation, classification, or both if necessary, and shall correct it as needed. Generally, an appearance before your local board of appeal and equalization is required by law before an appeal can be taken to the county board of appeal and equalization.

A quorum of the Town Board is likely to be present.

Notice is hereby given that a quorum of the Lent Town Board of Supervisors will be attending and helping at the Lent Township Spring Cleanup Day on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm located at the Maintenance Garage across from the Town Hall at 33212 Hemingway Avenue, Stacy, MN 55079. The Board members may be in attendance prior to or after the event to help set up or take down.

Lent Township Public Hearing Notice for a Residential Kennel Permit Application for Additional Dog

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, 7:00 p.m. via Zoom and at the Lent Town Hall at 33155 Hemingway Avenue, Stacy, MN 55079, the Lent Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to solicit public response to a request for an additional dog be added to the Interim Use Permit (IUP) residential kennel permit at 31890 Frontier Avenue, Stacy, MN 55079 – PID: 05.00625.26. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation regarding the proposed request to the Town Board for their meeting to be held on April 19, 2022, 7:00 p.m. via Zoom and at the Lent Town Hall.
