Spring Short Course Notice 2019

Notice is hereby given that three members of the Town Board (Rick Keller, Carolyn Cagle and Lisa Sinna) and the Clerk will be attending the MN Association of Township (MAT) Spring Short Courses on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Holiday Inn St Cloud 75 37th Avenue South, St. Cloud, MN 56301. A quorum of the Board will be present.

2019 Annual Meeting Notice

Notice is hereby given that the Annual Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 7:00 pm at the Lent Town Hall, 33155 Hemingway Avenue, Stacy, MN 55079. If weather prohibits the Annual Meeting from being held on March 12, the bad weather date is set for Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 7:00 pm. The second alternative date is Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 7:00 pm. The alternate dates are used only if inclement weather prevents the meeting from being held on March 12.

Road Committee Meeting February 19, 2019 Notice

Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 6:00 pm there will be a Road Committee meeting at the Town Hall, 33155 Hemingway Ave. A quorum of the Town Board will be present at the meeting.

2019 Insurance Meeting Notice

Notice is hereby given that the Annual Insurance Review will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. The Budget meeting will take place following the insurance review.

Both meetings will take place at the Lent Town Hall at 33155 Hemingway Ave., Stacy, MN 55079. A quorum of the Town Board will be present at both meetings.

2019 Budget Meeting Notice

Notice is hereby given that the Lent Town Board will conduct the Board of Audit and Budget Setting meeting on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 7:00 pm or immediately following the Annual Insurance Meeting that starts at 5:00 pm. Both meetings will take place at the Lent Town Hall at 33155 Hemingway Ave., Stacy, MN 55079. A suggested budget for the year 2020 will be discussed.  This budget will be proposed to the residents of Lent Township at the Annual Meeting on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 7:00 PM at the Lent Town Hall.

Definitions January 9, 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on January 9, 2019, 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, 33155 Hemingway Ave. Stacy, MN 55079 the Lent Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to solicit public response regarding an ordinance amending Chapter 2 of the Zoning Ordinance Section 3.0 Definitions. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation regarding the proposed change to the Town Board for their meeting to be held on January 15, 2019, 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall.

Solar Energy Systems January 9, 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on January 9, 2019 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, 33155 Hemingway Ave. Stacy, MN 55079 the Lent Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to solicit public response regarding an ordinance repealing in its entirety Chapter 2, Section 4.18, of the Township ordinance regarding Zoning Solar Energy Systems. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation regarding the proposed change to the Town Board for their meeting to be held on January 15, 2019, 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall.

Passed by the Lent Town Board on the 18^th day of December 2018.

THE LENT TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS ORDAINS:

AMENDMENT.  Chapter 4, of Lent Township Zoning Ordinance is hereby replaced in its entirety with the following language.

Chapter 4 Subsurface Sewage and Wastewater Treatment

1. Adoption by Reference:

1. Subject to the amendments set forth in this chapter, Chisago County subsurface sewage treatment system ordinance No. 10-1 as amended, is hereby adopted by reference. A copy of the ordinance shall be kept on file in the Township Offices.
2. The following references in Ordinance No. 10-1 are replaced:
3. Replace “Chisago County” with Lent Township”.
4. Replace “Chisago County Board” with “Lent Township Board”.
5. Replace “County attorney” with “Township attorney”.
6. In the ordinance the following definitions shall apply:

“Chisago County Director of Environmental Services/Zoning” means the building official of Lent Township and designated agents.

“Township” means Lent Township.

“Shoreland/Floodplain Area” means those areas defined by Township ordinance. (Ord. 2014-01).
