NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, 7:00 p.m. via Zoom and at the Lent Town Hall at 33155 Hemingway Avenue, Stacy, MN 55079, the Lent Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to solicit public response to a request for an Interim Use Permit (IUP) application for vehicle parking at 5563 Athens Trail, North Branch, MN 55056 – PID: 05.00102.01. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation regarding the proposed IUP vehicle parking request to the Town Board for their meeting to be held on August 17, 2021, 7:00 p.m. via Zoom and at the Lent Town Hall.

The applicant is requesting to split off the north portion from the total 9.68 acres into two 2.5 acre parcels, leaving 4.68 acres for the existing home and accessory buildings. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation regarding the proposed preliminary plat request to the Town Board for their meeting to be held on July 20, 2021, 7:00 p.m. via Zoom and at the Lent Town Hall.

ARPA Town Board Quorum Notice

A quorum of the Lent Township Board will be present at a special meeting to discuss the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds that they have received and will be receiving in the future. They will be discussing how to best spend the funds to benefit the community. The meeting is on Tuesday August 31, 2021, at 7:00 PM at the Lent Town Hall at 33155 Hemingway Ave, Stacy MN 55079.

ORDINANCE NO. 2021-08

 The following language has been updated:

The parcel is created by “minor subdivision” which shall be defined as the separation of a single parcel of land separated from an original parent parcel, when the following circumstances exists:

The new parcel is not less than 2.5 (two and ½) acres in size, with a minimum width of 165 feet fronting on a public road.

ORDINANCE NO. 2021-07

The following language has been updated:

For the purposes of this article, the terms defined have the following meanings given to them:

Special event: Any temporary, outdoor privately sponsored event open to the general public and held on public or privately owned property including, but not limited to, a concert, parade, fair, show, festival, carnival, rally, party, run, street dance, bike-athon, race, walk, athletic event, block party or other attended outdoor entertainment or celebration that is to be held in whole or in part upon publicly owned property or public right-of-way, or if held wholly upon private property, will nevertheless affect or impact the ordinary and normal use by the general public of public property or public rights-of-way within the vicinity of the event.

The Town Board, after recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission, at any regular or special meeting, may grant a license under this article upon due and proper application made therefore if, in the judgment of the Town Board, the application meets the standards of this article.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom and in-person at 33155 Hemingway Ave., Stacy, MN 55079, the Lent Township Planning Commission will have a public hearing for the purpose of reviewing Lent Township’s 2040 draft comprehensive plan and to gain public input. The Planning Commission will consider recommending approval of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan to the Town Board for their meeting to be held on August 17, 2021 7:00 p.m. via Zoom.
